The IBBI (Use of Caveats, Limitations, and Disclaimers in Valuation Reports) Guidelines 2020

On September 1, 2020, the IBBI notified the IBBI (Use of Caveats, Limitations, and Disclaimers in Valuation Reports) Guidelines 2020 (“Valuation Report Guidelines”). The Valuation Report Guidelines seek to provide guidance to registered valuers with respect to the use of caveats, limitations and disclaimers in valuation reports prepared in accordance with the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017. The Valuation Report Guidelines elaborate on the need for such caveats, limitations, and disclaimers, and provide a guidance note on their use. In addition, the Valuation Report Guidelines also provide for illustrative lists of caveats, limitations, and disclaimers that ought to be used and those that are not to be used.
