Clarification on dispatch of notice under Section 62(2) of Companies Act, 2013

In view of the Covid-19 and the lockdown condition, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs by its General Circular No. 21/2020 dated 11th March 2020, on receiving representations to clarify on the mode of issue of notice referred to in section 62(1)(a)(i) of Companies Act read with section 62(2) of the Act for rights issue by listed companies, has clarified that inability to send notice under section 62(2) would not be viewed as a violation.
