Seminar on Business Restructuring-Evolving Legal Issues and Imperatives

Background
Government of India has initiated a number of policy changes including amendments in various legislations towards restructuring of corporate business which included taxation, Insolvency, Bankruptcy laws etc. It would be in tune with the commitment of the Government to attract foreign investment and to boost manufacturing sector with a view to create more employment opportunities.
 
Sessions
Along with an inaugural session which would broadly set the framework of the Seminar, the sessions will focus on the following:
  • Laws relating to Corporate Restructuring and Business Turnaround;
  • Taxation Laws;
  • Insolvency, Bankruptcy, Judicial Interference in reasonable situations, approach of NCLT/NCLAT.

Dr Lalit Bhasin, President Bar Association of India and President Society of Indian Law Firms, Shri Ravi Singhania, Singhania & Partners LLP, Shri Aseem Chawla, ASC Legal Solicitors and Advocates, Chairman and Co-Chairmen of the Law and Justice Committee respectively and Shri Prashant Kumar, Advocate, President-elect of Bar Association of India, are addressing the Seminar. Besides them, eminent speakers would comprise of Lawyers and other prominent persons in business, profession and bureaucrats.

  • Seminar is open and beneficial to lawyers, in house counsels, Company Secretaries, competitive/ new emerging business personnel, law faculty and scholars.
  • There is no participation fee but prior registration is mandatory to attend.
