The flagship Singapore Insolvency Conference 2017 builds on the success of the past 5 annual National and Regional Insolvency Conferences. This year’s conference will adopt a format that allows for a more interactive and personal learning experience and a greater exchange of ideas.

Singapore Insolvency Conference 2017 is going to be the forum where many latest cutting edge views would be exchanged and shared. The forum will open with a session covering the latest development in Singapore law concerning restructuring and insolvency and tools available to effect restructuring in and outside of Singapore. Also, making a comeback is the marquee event of previous conferences, i.e. the Judicial Colloquium where we expect to have judges attending from multiple jurisdictions and sharing their thoughts on various issues and offering a rare insight into the judicial mind.

A new feature will be master classes relating to:-

1. Cross-border restructuring in Indonesia and Singapore’s role;

2. Cross-border restructuring in China and Singapore’s role;

3. Restructuring of bond debt;

4. Restructuring and insolvency in the offshore oil & gas and marine sector;

5. Chapter 11 and Chapter 15 proceedings and Singapore’s approach towards recognition of foreign insolvency proceedings;

6. Alternative capital providers/distressed investors in restructuring situations with a focus on the role, opportunities and challenges/issues faced by distressed investors.

Each participant may choose one masterclass to attend on each day, thereby selecting a total of two masterclasses over the conference period. Please register early for your desired masterclasses as attendance is limited for each masterclass.
